WHAT KIND OR PIANO IS THE BEST IN THE BEGINNING?

A. What is the best Age to Start?

Many teachers will tell you if asked that most of the children are not ready for piano lessons until age eight or nine And many children in that age really enjoy their piano lessons, want to learn, and practice on their own. They try to learn their favorite songs, melodies from movies, and even own compositions. They are ready to take piano lessons online or with downloaded series of piano teaching videos. It is nor to late or to early for preparing for a future musical career. And any age to start learning how to play the piano is good. It can be an extra hobby, excellent finger’s exercise, a short and a long memory enhancer, and entertaining family members and friends along the way.
It is never to late to start piano lessons!

Main two factors to consider are:
1. Time – it is so much harder to organize an extra time and money to learn the piano as an adult, working full time, maintaining home, car, taking care of children, and so on. Nothing easier than learn as a child living in parents home with no more on their minds than school homework, friends, extra activities and piano learning.

2. Main reason why learn to play the piano – for own pleasure, to help own children, or to start a new music career.

In my opinion as an experienced music teacher the best age for children to start their  piano lessons s at age five, and many times even younger.  it just takes a different approach, lots of patience, and lot’s of fun so a very young child likes the piano lessons.  Of course a very young child does not sit down to practice the piano everyday without involvement of a parent.

LET’S START A PREPARATION FOR FUTURE MUSIC LESSONS WITH PERCUSSION TOYS
Every child loves toys with sounds. Shake them, tap at the floor, use wooden sticks to play, and more. At age two it is time to practice eye – hand correlation, to use play a drum and xylophone with eight piano sounds and colors to play new songs in time. Sing with your baby easy songs such as “Twinkle, twinkle”, “ABC song, “London bridge”, and “Brother John” These are the first songs to learn to play on the piano later. They are the best because they fit within five fingers position of hands on piano keyboard to learn correct piano playing technique later. Teach your child to play a mini percussion instrument with melody and words.
USE ALL FINGERS TO PLAY ON PIANO KEYS

Prepare for future piano lessons

First rules to teach your young child

  1. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO TEACH YOUR CHILD TO TAKE WELL CARE OF EVERY INSTRUMENT! No banging on piano, no throwing little instruments on the floor, throwing them against the wall, etc. Always place them back in a special box after using them.
  2. TEACH RESPECT TO ALL FAMILY MEMBERS THAN GUESTS AND A TEACHER – your child may be ready to start first music lessons being able to listen, and follow directions even for a little piano game
  3. LISTEN TO MUSIC EVERYDAY – best time is a dinner time, time to bed before falling asleep, play time with toys. Music in the background is being registered and saved in child’s memory to use later in first piano lessons.
  4. Fins the right Teacher Specializing in Teaching Piano to Very Young Children

BEST PIANO TO START WITH? If there is no piano or baby grand already in the house, In the beginning a simple piano keyboard is enough. Best buy full size: 88 keys keyboard plus weighted keys which help to develop stronger finger and arms muscles. It means your child needs to press harder on the piano key to hear it’s sound. Very popular also today are midi piano keyboards which can be connected to your PC to use for some computer music teaching software. There is time to decide on buying the right piano later with your child growing and developing music skills. Digital and electronic pianos are better for composing music, learning piano accompaniments, and different sounds for different instruments to play along with
